Uncle Kentang & Joey Mattress Join Forces To Give 26 Families The Gift of Better Sleep.

Getting enough sleep is very important for the livelihoods of us humans. However, having good good sleep only becomes effective when one gets the right amount of support and comfort from one's mattress. A small study conducted in 2009, in the United States, showed that majority of the 59 participants a comfortable mattress resulted in a significant decrease in stress levels.

Since the global pandemic, many families were heavily affected financially which resulted in a great load of compromises in an effort to "survive". Among the compromises, mattresses would be one of them. With some of them having to rest in uncongenial conditions after a long day. However, the livelihoods of 26 families across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Johor, and Pahang took a bright turn when Uncle Kentang and Joey Mattress joined forces to provide these families with 26 mattresses and 15 pillows cumulatively valued at MYR 52,220 ( roughly $12,483).

According to Joey Mattress, one of the families with 4 kids had to sleep on thin sponge mattresses. Another recipient was an elderly woman, aged 85, who slept on a thin mattress laid on the wooden floor of her house. Other recipients had to face similar conditions until Uncle Kentang and Joey Mattress provided them better sleeping resources.

"Joey Mattress is focused on bringing better sleep to all Malaysians, not just paying customers. All our products have an in-home trial policy. If customers return our products after that

trial, we will sanitise and donate the returned goods. It is our

honour to assist in providing great sleep to more Malaysians." stated the co-founder of Joey Mattress and CMO, Joey Tan.

Ms. Tan also stated that the team are looking forward to collaborate with Uncle Kentang to continue donating mattresses to families in need on a long-term basis.
